Who can review a company?
A signed-in client with a verified email address can review a listed company they personally used. Business accounts cannot submit reviews. Gmail and business email addresses are both accepted: the type of email is not proof that a service was delivered. Owners, employees, relatives and competitors must not review that provider. We do not accept paid or rewarded reviews.
What happens before publication?
- The client names the service and date, describes their experience and uploads redacted evidence such as an invoice, receipt or agreement.
- An administrator checks that the evidence connects the client to the company and service, checks for conflicts and duplicate submissions, and reviews the content for privacy and relevance.
- The administrator approves, rejects with a reason, or requests more information. Clients can see the decision and supply further information in My reviews.
Only approved reviews are public. One client can submit one review per business. Positive and negative feedback follows the same checks. A provider cannot approve, edit or delete a client's review.
What “Service evidence checked” means
The moderator checked documentation supporting a service relationship. It does not guarantee every statement in the review, the quality of the work, a provider's qualifications or a legal outcome. A business listing is separate from review verification and is not an endorsement. Ratings use all currently published eligible reviews, with no paid boost.
Private evidence and your public identity
Your login email and uploaded evidence are not displayed to the company or the public. Only authorised administrators can access evidence. Use a first name or chosen public display name. Redact banking information, identity numbers, private addresses and details unrelated to the service before uploading. We use evidence to investigate authenticity and appeals; contact us to request removal when checks and any dispute are complete. Removal may mean we can no longer maintain the evidence-checked badge and publication status.
Fair moderation, replies and reports
We do not reject reviews just because they are negative, and do not make publication conditional on settling a complaint. We may request more information or refuse content that is fabricated, unrelated, incentivised, discriminatory, threatening, unlawful or discloses private information. We record moderation decisions and reasons. Businesses can submit a response for separate approval. Signed-in users can report concerns; reports do not automatically remove a review.
Corrections and appeals
Pending, rejected and information-requested submissions can be updated in your account and are checked again. For changes to a published review or an appeal, contact the review team with the company link and review title. Do not send private evidence in the public review. The team should process genuine reviews and appeals without unreasonable delay.
